Wiseman Consulting Limited is supporting Wiseman Consulting Limited is supporting a Boutique regional firm with multiple regional offices in recruiting a Family Solicitor. Our client is a friendly and efficient outfit focusing on personal and commercial law for their clients across the Cotswolds.

This family-owned business has been running for over 250 years and is an award-winning firm with clients in the Cotswolds, throughout the UK and overseas. They have deep-rooted expertise in personal law/private client law and are looking for a Solicitor with at least 8+ PQE to join them.

The Role

We are seeking a Family Solicitor with at least 8 + PQE and relevant family law experience to join the team at their Gloucester office and occasionally Stroud. You must have excellent knowledge and experience in divorce and finance in private family law matters.

As the firm's Family Senior Associate Solicitor, you will manage your own busy caseload with varied and interesting work.

You will be required to meet clients, attend court hearings and advocate. Resolution membership or similar accreditation is desirable. You must be able to demonstrate a compassionate and professional approach to sensitive client issues. And demonstrate an ability and willingness manage caseloads in an efficient and organised manner.

You will be expected to meet our clients’ demanding requirements and demonstrate an enthusiastic, ambitious and dynamic approach. with excellent communication skills and an ability to get on with people. You will be part of an established team and be able to foster excellent working relationships and demonstrate a deep understanding of the industry and its challenges.

Your technical and IT proficiency should be balanced with strong commercial awareness .

You will be a bright, enthusiastic and committed legal practitioner looking to join and contribute to the success and growth of the family department. You will take on a caseload of a broad range of family law matters.

Work may include but is not limited to:

• Divorce and separation
• Financial remedies
• Private children matters
• Cohabitation disputes.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain skills and experience and have a hand in the development of a long established, forward-thinking and expanding firm.

The role will also involve active participation in the development of the department and in the firm’s marketing, article drafting, PR, business development, social media and networking activities, as appropriate

This role is to support the Head of Department as a senior figure in the team to support the growth of the department and engage in mentoring and training junior members of staff.
